Erin and I are modeling our newly finished socks. Erin’s are made from the leftovers from her Easter dress. I have enought left over to make two more pairs of kids socks.
Mine are from Mountian colors–Mountain Goat, Burgundy colorway. These fit the best of all the socks I have done for myself. I will probably frog the last two singles I made and reknit them.

The Tooth Fairy made a visit to our house Tuesday night. I wasn’t expecting her for a year or two.
We were eating corn on the cob at dinner and I noticed she was trying to eat it with side of her mouth. I told her to try with her front teeth it would work better. She took a big bite and had a very strange look on her face after that. She knew something had not gone quite right.
The Fairy brought her a dollar which she spent on bubblegum.
What a game!! Great season, great team, great tournament!
I pulled these photos from the Lawrence Journal World website. The top photo is at 9th and Massachusetts the lower is from the Eldrige Hotel across from Free State sort of.
Kevin took Gordy and a few of his pals downtown to join in the fun. I saw him on the local tv stations broadcast waving our Jayhawk flag. Emily went downtown with her boyfriend. Crazy night. I bet the City worked their tails off cleaning all that up because it was shiny clean this morning.

This is the before shot!
Elinor, Gini, Shannon, Liz and I ran the Brew to Brew Relay on Sunday. Our start time wa at 6:30 in the morning. This meant we left Lawrence at 5:15. I haven’t been anywhere at 5:15 in a very long time. I think we finished, well Gini finished, about 2:30 give or take. The idea is that each member runs 2 legs. Gini is training for a marathon and needed a long run so she took the last 5 which was fine by me as I am not in good running shape. Thanks to Elinor for getting us all together and posting these pics!

We celebrated Gordy’s birthday last night instead of Tuesday–He had soccer practice.We took the whole crew to the best resturant in the whole world–Free State Brewery (at least that I have eaten at–Kina!). Gordy always surprises us with his food selection–The Grilled Swordfish special last night. We returned home and open presents and had cake. Granny sent him this hip hat he in showing off.
We didn’t have official birthday candles, so we used wooden matches(Erin’s suggestion) and other candles to get the right number.

We spent the day together watching basketball, and eating chocolate.
The older kids assisted the Bunny by hiding the eggs for Erin and Jack. They did not seem to mind not 
participating in the hunt.
So I still need to do some figuring out on the photo stuff.
BTW I knit Erin’s dress. It slowly stretched to an obscene length over the course of the day. I need to reinforce the straps and bodice with some fabric ribbon I think.
